RE: BUF To Niagara Falls-SammyK

Cool, write back sometime and let me know how the JetBlue experience was. If I still lived in BUF, I'd definitely give them a try. Later!

RE: BUF To Niagara Falls

From the Buf Int'l airport, it's about a 25 minute drive max. I think 15 miles or so. I usually take the I-290 over the Grand Island bridge and onto Robert Moses Pkwy to Niagra Falls N.Y. Going over the Rainbow bridge in to Canada can be traffic hell though, if it's a nice day. Some people prefer to...

RE: Best Airport To Watch Approaches?

I like San Diego also. I remember paying a couple bucks to go into a parking garage at the end of the runway to watch the planes. It was great from the top deck. Sounds like I need to get to Honolulu someday.

The Need For Bigger Jets?

I read about Airbus trying to secure orders for their new A3XX plane that is still on the drawing board. Supposedly it will unseat the 747 as the biggest & baddest plane in the sky, seating 500-600 in a double deck configuration. Is it just me or does anyone else feel this is not necessary? I'm no a...

RE: Jetstream-31 Crash In Pennysilvania

They are saying it was a Gulfstream BA-31 turboprop with 19 pass and 2 crew. Possibly a charter going to Wilkes Barre from Atlantic City. Last I heard they had not found the wreckage yet.

RE: Rate FS2000!

I have FS2000 and Airport 2000 Vol.2 I have a 366Mhz 64Ram processor. FS2000 is great and I enjoy the heck out of it. It slows up a bit when i fly in to one of the Airport 2000 locations, especially O'hare. The detail on the 7 airports is very cool. I find it more fun to taxi around and look at the ...

RE: Best US Airline/Best US Airport

I agree with Cincinnati, very open and easy to get around. For atmosphere I have to go with Las Vegas or maybe Tampa.

Airline would be Delta or Continental.

RE: Worst US Airline/Worst US Airport

Maybe I've been to the wrong terminal, but i can't stand LaGaurdia. I never feel good in there. Never been to Detroit. Airline is hard to say since i mostly ever fly 4 of them. Delta, USairways, Continental & TWA. They all have their good and bad moments. Although I did have a reason to fly Hawaiian...

Best Airport To Watch Approaches?

Just curious to find out what some other people think the best airport is for plane spotting? Especially for volume of traffic and proximity to landings and takeoff's. In my opinion it's Reagan National in D.C (DCA). If you're ever there for a layover, put your carry-on in a locker, leave the termin...

RE: Jetblue In ROC

A bunch of my family members still live in Buffalo and have flown on JetBlue. they have good things to say about them. Nice, clean, modern, A320's. I've never been over to ROC...how is that airport? sounds pretty dull from your posts. BUF has gotten quite active since they built the new terminal and...

RE: Andrew AFB Airshow (May 20)

I'll definitely be there. Too bad the weather is supposed to be very iffy both days. The Blue Angels perform Saturday @ 3pm and Sunday @ 1pm. Thunderbirds perform Sat @ 1pm and Sun @ 3pm. It's the first time both will appear at the same event.
Better get there early!
