Used to work at DTW mcnamara.. As stated earlier and just for absolute clarification, once you have your bag and clear customs, general exit is to the left while connections are ahead, you have desks for people requiring to check bags in again, then a TSA line and then the steps upstairs to the term...

did anyone else catch the news that Primera have pulled the BHX-YYZ/BOS flights this year due to acft shortage.

I guess they were using a National Airlines 757 for the EWR service but due to not having their new 321's delivered in time they are simply pulling the routes for now.

ELP I assume is largely used by the automotive industry? My former father in law used to connect thru ATL once a week or so to get to ELP, from there they would cross the border to Mexico where the auto plant where he visited was at. I have a few friends at work also who have been talking about this...

I believe the only time EK grounded their fleets in large scale is when DUB was down to 1 runway operation when they refurbish another one. Isn't Delta within their right to make their own choices as to who they grant discounts to... Its not like they're forced to offer any discounts. Its just something they do as good business practice.
In that sense it does seem that the state is being pretty intrusive ...

I find it interesting that the article states that NORAD handed over tracking to the US Coastguard who then was relying on the FlightAware website to track it. So does the coastguard not have the ability to use radar? Was Mexico not tracking it ? Were they just hoping it didn't crash into a populate...

The ones I can think of off the top of my head are: Privateair services for KL and SK ... I think... SK flew Copenhagen - Boston with a 737 Air France flew a seperate fleet of A319 aircraft named 'Dedicate' these flew to places with high J traffic but low load factors... mostly oil / gas destination...

I have to say ... That's a very nice thing for spirit to do. Relocating entire families including pets. I'm sure it's standard practice considering the disaster at hand, but still something about it almost endears me to the company.
