Is there something cultural about the reaction of the pilots here--emotional and hyper-reactive? Simple logic and at least one cool head in the bunch would have saved the day.

I like it better today than I did yesterday, but I agree with some of the other posters above that they should have painted a 738 with this scheme ... maybe even using the late 1960's PSA scheme.
