qf789, I apologize if my appreciation of mods being soft some times is unfair, I admit that obviously I'm not aware of every warning or punishment delivered for the mods team, and my opinion was based exclusively in the few times when I was involved in discussions where others have been rude or dis...Jump to post
There's already a longstanding thread that discusses exactly this topic. Please post your info there.
I joined this site sixteen years ago and was mesmerized by the information that was available here. I wound up finding a job as a ramper for UA through this site and loved my time there. I have engaged with many people from different facets of aviation through this site. I have learned tremendous a...Jump to post

i was looking through the pictures of 77W 's stored in desert......what are the odds of UA adding them to the fleet? they seem to be pretty happy with the 77W. Pretty slim. The few 77Ws that appear to be stored in the desert are 10+ years old and are on the ~third carrier. With the deals that Boein...Jump to post
Please keep the thread on topic. This thread is discussion North Korean airspace, not politics, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, or countries that have shot down civilian aircraft in the past. Please keep the discussion to the use of North Korean airspace by European/western carriers.

Again, they fly quite high. Usually, you expect a long haul flight to stick to 35000 feet but Qatari Flights operate at 4000 (have been in one that was showing 42000 on the monitor once - not sure it was accurate). They feel comfortable in doing so and it minimises the constraints of not being able...Jump to post
Please stick to discussing the topic. This thread isn't about anything other than the story regarding Mueller and Barr.
. Looks like there is a growing demand for the feature, e.g. http://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1421471#p21319817 so let me re-introduce the idea, A separate thread for important events without endless discussions. Perhaps against my better judgement, I've merged the two threads (one for Southwest, the other for Alaska) since it's regarding the same survey.
Please keep things civil — there's no need for personal comments or attacks.

Yeah it’s quite the operation. You wonder if at this point if LaGuardia is running out of parking spots. Like why would you park a plane in the middle of the taxiway. Plus would other airlines have to request permission before parking at another airlines’ gate or does ATc just assign them it? ATC d...Jump to post
This is the second day so far of the spring/summer afternoon thunderstorms. It's actually sort of the third. Last Friday, yesterday, and a Friday sometime last month (I don't remember the date). While the SWAP day last month was technically prior to the official start of SWAP season on April 1, the...Jump to post
If UA can move their B737MAX fleet around without pax onboard then can they not repaint those as they are sat idle. Whilst they certainly are not in need of a repaint, wouldn't it be wise to repaint them now rather then take them out of service in future years? The MAX may not be the best poster ch...Jump to post
WHY OH WHY, would United choose a 737 of any type to unveil the new livery? Conjecture 1: Gotta fit the airplane in a hangar at a photogenic angle with room for the gathered crowd for the unveiling. A widebody will take up the whole hangar, straight in, with no room for the gathered employees. Conj...Jump to post

As someone who was based at Eglin in the late 80’s I’m going to have to disagree. While it was before Desert Storm, there were significant concerns about the growth of commercial service interfering with the operations of Eglin. Eglin was beginning to absorb a lot of redundant support functions bet...Jump to post

Wasn’t this the reason they built the new airport outside of Panama City? Replace Panama City’s airport and get ops away from Eglin for the military? I'm also curious on the design. Will it be bare bones ULCC? Something a little nice? Will this give them exclusivity at the airport preventing anyone that may want to start service from doing so?
