The refurbishment of the 77Es depends on a number of factors including having it done during a heavy maintenance check so both jobs could be done at once. It looks like the emphasis will be on converting the 3-class 222ERs first and within that subgroup, lining them up according to heavy maintenance...

You also have to factor in scope issues in the U.S. market, not a small consideration given the potential size of the market. Aircraft over 76 seats would be flown at the mainline carrier, not a regional which changes the economics a bit.

I don't know that there is such a thing as a "chemtrail" generator. Contrail formation depends on the atmospheric conditions at that altitude including temperature, humidity, wind speed etc.

I think the most likely answer is that TAR is leasing those aircraft for the summer travel season. There are times when airlines have to cut back service for whatever reason and have spare aircraft. Short term leases to other airlines can help pay the bills.
