75%. He stinks on the environmental issues and is on the right but he can see both sides of an issue and take the middle and seems to know what he is doing. He is doing a good job overall in my opinion and I am sure that Gore wouldn't be able to do much better.

AF is dumping their 767's, 747-200's and -300's and 737's and getting A330's and A380's. In the future the only Boeing aircraft that will be in their fleet will be 747-400's, 777-200's and 777-300ER's. IB eventually will only have 757-200's which they have orders of now - they will retire their MD-8...

In Europe:

SR, SN, LH, AF, TAP, Austrian, BMI, Cyprus, and IB are mainly-Airbus carriers.

BA and KLM are mainly Boeing.

In the U.S.:

AA, DL, CO, SWA and UA have placed large orders with Boeing.

UA, NWA, US, jetBlue and AWA have placed significant orders with Airbus.

However, don't airline maintenance centers also maintain different planes for other airlines? For example, can't UAL's maintenance facility at San Francisco maintain A340's and other aircraft that they don't have?

Why Did US Go For The A321?

Why did US go for the A321 if they already have a fleet of 34 757's? The spat with Boeing couldn't have affected the decision too much and since the A321 doesn't stand out and US was a large Airbus customer already, a deal for them couldn't have been so sweet.

Anyhow, BA IMO is Britain's true flag carrier since it serves domestic cities as well as cities around Europe while Virgin is almost exclusively intercontinental.

IGW 777's are the same as ER 777's with the exception that the IGW designation was used first before the variant was redesignated with "ER."
