What happened to the 20 planes that are no longer in service? Where they involved in accidents? 1030 out of 1050 is an impressive number. What a remarkable machine.

RE: A Tripple Decker In The Future?

better idea, lets just cram as many seats as possible into a AN-225, that'll give you a "Sexjet"

Better yet, we can get Lockheed back into the buisness.....just fill the C-5 with seats!!! That'll probably be like a 1,000 seats at least.

RE: Will Boeing Loose Even More Marketshare?

I think that Boeing should go ahead with the 747adv if it is cheap and can break even easily. While the 747adv is never going to be a true 380 competitor, it can stop Airbus from completely dominating the VLA market for a couple of years. That being said, Boeing will eventually have to develop a new...

Embraer has been growing the size of its a/c, is it possible that we might see them develop a 737/320 competitor next? What about Bombadier? I think the market is large enough to support 4 manufacturers for the 737/320 size a/c.

Even if Boeing ended up going 2nd by a couple of years, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. The market for the 737 and the A320 is the largest in the world.
