Actually HOU is seeing upgauges...717s going to 1 319 and MD88s on the 6th. AA is sending a 321 from LAX as well as all 321 from CLT and 1 738. United has a couple of 757s to BOS and 739 to ATL.

Those stats seem to be reflective of the load that was on the flight my wife and I took coming back to Houston. Flight out back was pretty full. We were in a Skycouch setup, how does that factor into the load calculations?

Delta never had the 777 scheduled on ATL-HNL. It went L15-->764-->744-->333. For the most part. If you saw a 777 option then it was a sub.

I went to medical school with this young lady, well, I was in the dental school...she graduated a year behind me and I see her at alumni functions here in Houston. I don't see this happening. IAH is a SA hub, which would probably hurt MU's chances of the route being profitable. Might wanna leave this one to UA. Except I don't see UA ever starting this route in lieu of SFO, ORD, or EWR hubs in place. They can route that traffic over those hubs without tying up...

Delta won't expand appreciably in Houston...we don't even get 737s from them at either airport. The only expansion I see would be maybe SEA/LAX. Honestly, all this is moot...there is no room at either airport for another airline to set up a good size operation without significant terminal expansion.

That's what I'm interested to see; when Smisek tried to leverage expansion vs a Hobby FIS...other domestic carriers expanded. If I'm not mistaken - which I may be, but you saw Southwest grow, Spirit came to town, American started LAX, and US upgauged a little bit.

The wife and I were on Air New Zealand back to IAH last week and it was full. Most were connections obviously...I saw AUS, DFW, EWR, ORD, IAD...but a good number of MCO, TPA, CUN, and SJO. How is lold factor considered when looking at the SkyCouch setup which we were seated in?
