For those passengers who are really anxious, here's a fix: Charter yourself a Beaver (holds 5 pax plus baggage) or Cessna 182; fly it to Sitka, Petersburg or Wrangell and catch the next AS for Seattle.

Although it could be a reflection, it does look like primer. The bottom left edge looks too straight, cut-off to be a reflection. However, if you check A.net photos of Korean Air HL 7614 no white paint is shown. It looks like someone took a paint roller dipped in white paint to the tail. IMO.
