RE: Dispatcher Computer Programs

Thanks alot to all of you for your informative responses. For the longer flights, it seems that flight planning software would be very valuable. I'm still not sure that the dispatchers at my regional airline (121) typically put much thought into our route of flight though. I'm not putting them down ...

What picture do you speak of!? I really have no idea what you're talking about, but yea, night cockpit shots are tough! I have a 10mm lense and open it wide for such shots to minimize blur. Then, I just open the shutter wide, and snap away, hoping to get a good one. Dim screens would help reduce ove...

Dispatcher Computer Programs

I was just wondering what type of computer software dispatchers have available to them for flight planning purposes. It seems that most flight plans are just "canned" in the system, and automatically file the same routes and altitudes, regardless of current weather or season. I don't mind this too m...

Hey, the CFI is a pretty big deal. Some equate it to the "Masters Degree" of flying, which I won't dispute. I'm not going to lie, it will probably be the most demanding checkride that you have taken so far, so your worries are not unfounded. But, hopefully your training has paid off and your instruc...
