Allegiant was here for a while in addition to Santa Maria. After a couple of months, all flights were concentrated up north. F9 flew in a pair of E170s, but after they dropped that aircraft, switch to a single A319, and now they are gone altogether as well.

especially in the US where they don't seem to put windows in the jet bridges for some reason. It was (still is?) against US national fire codes. Theory being the sight of flames would prevent people evacuating. There are a couple of US airports with them. Santa Barbara, CA (SBA) has glass jetways.

It really disapoints me how little effort BA have put in with regards to the ammendments they have made to the aircraft. Compared to London 2012 where some aircraft were painted in the firebird and dove liveries. A bit of paint to the nose and some stickers is pathetic compared to other airlines. I...

I am curious as to whether the first LATAM A350 in the new livery will receive its complete paint prior to delivery or will they roll it out of the assembly line in plain white until all the testing is done, then deliver it to paint and an unveiling in Brazil. Anybody have any word on this?

As a child, I walked through those buildings and on the ramps many times with my late father, very pleasant memories. I am glad they are still using the buildings in some capacity. I would hate to have them just sitting there empty and wasted.

Yes, the communications failure was involved, but it was pretty much the final part of a series of events that led to the collision. In short, there was a bomb explosion/threat at Gran Canaria airport, the original destination of the planes, that caused all the diversions to Tenerife.
