I wonder whether the dedicated airlines will go altogether? Will companies like Thomas Cook just book random planes from whichever airlines they can find cheaply to get their passengers to their destinations? Seems they are doing quite a bit of outsourcing this year already, to the likes of Smartlyn...Jump to post

Some people seem to forget we've all been babies..... and we've all screamed and cried at some point in our lives.... Thanks! Gruß, masi1157 Absolutely! We’ve just done our first flight as a family, with our ten-month-old son. Thankfully he seemed to love the whole experience from start to finish (...Jump to post
Absolutely... I do hope it’s the 763.
How long in advance will Thomas Cook know for sure which aircraft it is? The seating plan for “pay to choose your seats” still shows the original one for when it was a TCX A321, with out originally chosen seats highlighted.
Hi all, So I just received an email from Thomas Cook airlines saying that we’ve had an aircraft swap to Titan Airways on MT1027 Monday 30th July (CFU-LGW). Any idea which aircraft we’re now due to fly on? Quite exciting as it’s a new airline for me. The email mentions that our seats (already paid fo...Jump to post
A few years back was flying them with the other half, and we had reserved a window and aisle, same row. Got to luggage check in, and the agent printed boarding passes that had moved me to the middle ( B) seat. I stepped back and asked where my aisle seat had gone and she said she thought we'd like ...Jump to post

I was buying the other day a ticket from Brussels to Budapest for next month and noticed Ryanair flies on Thursdays two flights with 5 minutes' difference. Anyone can check on Ryanair.com Daily 17:55 Brussels S. Charleroi (CRL) 19:55 Budapest (BUD) 2B FR 8416 Non-stop Boeing 737-800 (73H) 2:00 Effe...Jump to post
Something baffled me today! A friend flew a full Ryanair flight from DUB to LGW the other day, and as one of the final boarders had to “gate check” her bag by the aircraft stairs. Apparently quite a few others had to do the same. This is fairly common on FR and I have had to do it too, plenty of tim...Jump to post

A friend is carrying out a university assignment about people’s flight booking preferences. It may be more centred around Ireland / Europe but all responses would be greatly appreciated.

I miss those deals... Ryanair haven’t done them for quite a while now...
I remember DUB, NRN etc. for £0.02 return. I prided myself with “never paying more than a tenner for a city break”!
I thought Ryanair was one of Those airlines which ordered new planes, flew them for a few years and then sold them on when their residual values were still relatively high. But today I noticed that they are still flying EI-DAD, which is about fifteen and a half years old. Why do they keep some of th...Jump to post
Are those the strange looking bench seats on Air Mediterranee A320s?Jump to post
I can echo all of that. Depending on budget I would take the taxi to/from Riga city centre. Nothing particularly wrong with the bus, but I did find the taxi drivers (Baltictaxi - the green airbaltic ones) particularly friendly and the journey very quick and simple. What time of day are you in Riga? ...Jump to post

Glad to see the door still attached, unlike their previous incident!
A lot depends on the prices they can offer. Many people don’t particularly care where they go, as long as there’s sunshine and a cheap all inclusive deal!Jump to post
It’s fine - I did a day trip from STN and it was the standard Ryanair terminal. Not many places to sit and not a lot of shops etc but did the job perfectly well for what’s essentially an international bus service. Actually I remember a MacDonald’s that served beer in the terminal so pretty happy mem...Jump to post

Is it linked to cookies on your computer? I know some airlines do/did that...
I’ve had it happen too - if I looked at the same flights a few times and didn’t book the price seemed to go up, but then after a few days went down again.
Moral of the story? Book flights on the whim!

Vasu, Cunard, We visited Albania on a day trio from Corfu last year, had a day around Saranda visiting the town and Butrint National Park. Great weather, pleasant seafront, friendly people. Interesting. From the UK, the classics are becoming as popular as ever Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Malta & Greece despite B*****t and the high euro. Bulgaria is continuing its popularity. Croatia is going up and up as is Montenegro. If you want a dark horse that is being touted at the moment as up...Jump to post
But why is it still there anyway? Why hasn’t it gone to some sort of museum? Am I right in thinking it was originally going to be displayed inside T5? The article says yes, it was supposed to be suspended somewhere in T5. Those plans have changed. So then I wonder why they just left it there... sur...Jump to post

Interestingly I’ve noticed what appears to be a lot more flights from London airports to Turkey in summer 2018... seems at odds with the idea that people are afraid to go to Turkey. Just from Luton alone, Easyjet and Thomas Cook are expanding Turkish offerings, and SunExpress is starting flights to ...Jump to post
