Re: Thomas Cook Mulling Airline Sale

I wonder whether the dedicated airlines will go altogether? Will companies like Thomas Cook just book random planes from whichever airlines they can find cheaply to get their passengers to their destinations? Seems they are doing quite a bit of outsourcing this year already, to the likes of Smartlyn...

Not as exciting as the 763, but still something slightly more unusual. Anyone been on that one?

Absolutely... I do hope it’s the 763.

How long in advance will Thomas Cook know for sure which aircraft it is? The seating plan for “pay to choose your seats” still shows the original one for when it was a TCX A321, with out originally chosen seats highlighted.

Thomas Cook - Titan Airways swap

Hi all, So I just received an email from Thomas Cook airlines saying that we’ve had an aircraft swap to Titan Airways on MT1027 Monday 30th July (CFU-LGW). Any idea which aircraft we’re now due to fly on? Quite exciting as it’s a new airline for me. The email mentions that our seats (already paid fo...

How does a gate checked bag ‘go missing’?

Something baffled me today! A friend flew a full Ryanair flight from DUB to LGW the other day, and as one of the final boarders had to “gate check” her bag by the aircraft stairs. Apparently quite a few others had to do the same. This is fairly common on FR and I have had to do it too, plenty of tim...

I’ve had it happen too - if I looked at the same flights a few times and didn’t book the price seemed to go up, but then after a few days went down again.

Moral of the story? Book flights on the whim!
