They were planning on leaving LGW anyway so it’s no surprise after letting all the crew go and telling them they’ll have to transfer to another base. But they did have a reasonably large contract with Olympic Holidays and The Gambia Experienceso it’ll be interesting to see who’ll pick up the slack ...

The way I read into this, I still don't understand what happens to the "shoulder bags"... bigger than the Ryanair definition of "small bag" but definitely small enough to fit under the seat in front. Like one of the earlier posters, I also usually fly Ryanair on weekend one-night...

Having flown 767s at both 2-3-2 and 2-4-2, I'd forgo the extra legroom and have fewer seats per row. Having said that, if the 2-4-2 airline offered a much lower price than the 2-3-2 airline I'd go for that one.

I'm definitely up for the challenge, but it all depends on the fare... I "do" a lot of places in a day, but only when the likes of FR or W6 let me do it for the cost of a train from Kent to London!
