Wolfe has a proven track record. At Flying Tigers he painted the airplanes and sold the company to FedEx. At United he painted the airplanes and sold the company to the employees. at US he painted the airplanes and is selling the company. What is the common thread? He made a lot of money for himself...Jump to post

I can put up with the crying youngins, I too wear earplugs on most flights. It also quites the Aunt Ednas that want to receite thier whole holiday sked. I do believe parents should BUY a seat for jr. Lap holding should be forbidden. Don't start with the cost issue, one good turbulance bump and that...Jump to post

Is $60 an hour unreasonable? Somebody said this would be more than many pilots at NW. I know at Delta a second year MD88 FO gets right about that. Thats a guy starting his career while the mechanic has at least seven years with the company. The average wage for aircraft mechanics is appalling consi...Jump to post
HAHAH Delta doesn't give a rats behind about ROC.
Incorrect sir. Delta has some awsome loads in and out of ROC. Many business travelers use ROC. I wish they would upgrade service to 737-800 soon.

The MD11 was to be painted this month but it has been put off until March. The first MD90 will go in for paint in a week or two. I don't think any 767-200 have been p...Jump to post
Gso is doing only mod work not HMV. The two that are there right now are getting updated crew rest facilities and a aux tank mod. They were scheduled to be painted this month but it shows them going into paint in March. These things are always subject to change.
JetBlue has mentioned SYR for future expantion. Also a start up, Legacy Air is trying to get orginized there. I doubt they will see daylight any time soon. The DOT is questioning their financing. Delta Connection will be resuming service to LGA next month in the form of ACJet.Jump to post
Both are good schools. I got a Maint. Managment degree from Riddle and I have no regrets. I also know quite a few alumni from the 70's that got out of aviation and their Riddle degrees have served them well. I suggest visiting both schools. BTW if you take out flight fees Riddle is a bargin for a fo...Jump to post

The reason for early retirement is fleet comonallity. An airline with a small number of 80's or 90's can't get anymore to expand. I expect Delta to dump the 16 MD-90 within a few years. Even though the fleet is newer and more efficent. A small number of aircraft raises costs in training and maintena...Jump to post
I agree: ERAU, UND, Purdue all good programs. I went to ERAU, Daytona for their maintenance program. Just a thought; most pilots get thier first couple of jobs by good networking, not by some school placement program. Make friends, join a fraternity, the school flight team, anything. Don't just sit ...Jump to post
The L-1011 will NOT be painted. Delta does not paint aircraft at C-Check. Paint sked is done by some mystic taro card system, absolutely no rhyme or reason. As for the MD-11. I wouldn't put money on seeing one of them in Leo colors either. Word is they are being shopped around right now. To be repla...Jump to post
Civil Air Patrol is open to all US citizens above the age of thirteen. Cadets are encouraged to attend at least one two week encampment during their cadet career. It isn't "boot camp". Yes they march and all but it's really like an aviation Boy Scouts. All members Cadets or Adults participate in Sea...Jump to post
