The information about number of seats in new A319 was published in JAT in-flight magazine. It is too much for me also, but it is usual JAT`s policy. I guess they don`t bussiness passengers and that they are aware that those passengers usually fly on LH,BA or SR to Belgrade. That is why JAT is focuse...

Jump to postDon`t know what it will be like at the new airport, but I will miss old Hellinikon Airport.
Jump to postYes, I think North American service is a must fro JAT, but they should also think about resuming flights to Australia(with cheap tickets it might be interesting for passengers from Western Europe too!) and South Africa. I saw a commercial with A330 with JAT colours on it and taht is why I said JAT s...
Jump to postI am glad that JAT is not forgotten among enthusiasts.
The first A319 will arrive in June 2001.
I believe JAT should buy some A330 but it is just too early to talk about it.
Message to 9A-CRO:
If you like to mix politics with aviation please go to some other forum.
It is almost impossible to believe that he would go somewhere else in Serbia.
Hi Phil! You are welcome to visit Belgrade any time you like.
Hello everyone! I know it is a bit away from civil aviation, but it seems interesting. Three An-26 left Batajnica airport(military airport near Belgrade). There are rumors ex-president Milosevic was in one of them. They were headed to the south. Does anyone knows where they landed? Aleksandar, Belgr...
Jump to postI hope they will fly as long as it is possible. For instance, nine 727s are still flying in Yugoslavia.

Don`t know about IL-62
Since the crisis began in ex-Yugoslavia, JAT has problems to find "jobs" for their planes. I believe it`s true that JAT uses only 737-300 and ATR-72 on its international routes due to noise regulation in EU countries. On the other hand, they use all they can on flights to Tivat during high season(fr...
Jump to postI didn`t even know that they ordered those planes(Savo, odakle ti taj podatak, bas me zanima)
Jump to postDefinitely 727-200. My other favorites are DC-10-30, 757-200 and classic 707!!
Jump to postYes, JAT flew to Cleveland, but only charter flights primarily during summer season. No, it wasn`t JAT`s first transatlantic flights. First transatlantic flight was to JFK. JAT also served Chicago and Los Angeles on regular basis and flew charters to Cleveland and Detroit. They also flew to Toronto ...
Jump to postI believe this plane is owned by the Government of Belarus. In fact, similar(if not same)plane landed at Belgrade Airport when President Lukashenko visited Yugoslavia during bombing campaign.
Jump to postBelgrade-Dubrovnik on JAT Boeing 707. Fantastic experience!!!!
Jump to postOne of the best airliners ever built. Good to fly with, and treat to watch it. There are still eight of them in JAT and three in Aviogenex, and I hope they will be used for few more years.

Hi everybody!
I am planning a trip to Budapest in two weeks and need help about their airport and facilities. Does anybody know something more to tell me?
I think it has something to do with fuel consumption. Those planes were not as good as factory was promising. That is why some airlines, like Singapore Airlines, decided not to buy them although they had placed firm orders for MD-11
Jump to postDEFINITELY!!!!
I had my first flight on TU-134, and mostly flew on DC-9s but 727-200 is the ALL TIME BEST!!!!
Anyone who wants to experience it once again, come to Belgrade because JAT is still using them.
I agree with Cedarjet. Take a look at some of their planes in photo section
Jump to postWho knows!
What type of plane was it? It is possible that it was Balair`s plane(Swissair`s charter subsidiary). Saw a photo of their B-767-300 few months ago.
You`re all right in a way. I agree with all of you.
But,what about classic BOEING 727-200!!!!!
Very nice photo, Gary. Very nice, indeed. Send my regards to your cousin.
Alex
Heard news about Convair CV-880.
If anyone knows some similar story, come here
Hi everyone, I also believe that Russians are making good planes now. Watched live coverage from Dubai Air show this winter and was really impressed with new TU-334. Like all other mentioned Russian planes, this one could have bright future. I don`t believe that some major European or American airli...
Jump to postMy favourite airplanes are Boeing 727-200 and 707.
I know they are too old and out of time, but I can`t help it. I had the best time flying with them
That is exactly why I suggested forming an international organization. All of you are acting like victims. Let`s organize ourselves and change the situation. Some of photos may be of use for police too(if they chace someone or something happens). When some plane crashes everybody asks for photos and...
Jump to postHi desertjets!
Finally found someone who studies history also.
I am Alexander from Belgrade,Yugoslavia and I will be glad to exchange information about atudying history. I am also interested at going to some American University like yours. Send me details.
Alex
Hi Scotty,
glad to hear you are interested. I also found a new topic under title About Spotting.
Two of us are good beginning. If someone else is interested we could try planning that organization.
Alex
Hi guys! Reading about all the problems at various airport made me to start the new topic. What do you think to organize some sort of non-profit international organization with subsidiariea around the world. Members could have some sort of an ID which would help them to take shots wherever they are ...
Jump to postUnfortunately, I don`t.
But, if you need some from Czech Airlines or Aeroflot instead of Tarom, I have some and would be glad to exchange them for something else.
Anyway, we have the same goal. Keep on collecting magazines.
Aleksandar
I certainly know that. Aviation Museum, close to Belgrade International A/P, has a Caravelle. Really nice plane, but when I asked menager of the Museum can I see the interior of the plane he explained me that the whole interior, including the cockpit, is ruined. In the early 1990s,before the crisis be...
