AMS has a great aviation hobby shop http://www.luchtvaarthobbyshop.nl/ (english) just a few miles from the airport. There's another aviation shop in the arrivals hall (after you walk trough the baggagehall and customs).

I just heard on the Dutch (radio) news that another plane made a emergency stop as well at the same day as the Kalitta 747! Three houres after the Kalitta incident an Airbus A300 of Fly Air (a Turkish airline) made an emergency stop, the left-engine was damaged.
