Duplicate the layer your photo is on, equalize the top layer, select the bottom (original) layer, use heal/clone on the spots.
Then go clean your sensor.

There are clearly jaggies all over the plane... most obvious areas are the leading edge of the wing and top of the "hump", can you see them there so you know what to look for in the future? Would be curious to see the photo with no sharpening and/or to know what method you're using to save...

Karl, I think your centering is fine, particularly when taking into account how the dark area adds weight to the bottom of the photo. The first example you linked is high, the second is very low.

I took the liberty of downloading your full size original and resizing (bicubic, smooth gradients) and a pass of smart sharpen. Exactly what Kaphias said. Pixels are pixels, PPI does just not apply when we see shots on a screen. It's the screen resolution that will determine how large you see a photo for a given (pixel) size. PSA, folks: pixels per inch (px/in or ppi) makes NO DIFFERENCE when processing a photo for non-print uses. I could set mine to 3, 300, or 3000 and all the photos will display the same on a digital device.
