There are actually rubber lens hoods that claim to take care of that need, but in my experience they don't work very well. It hasn't been fixed. Time zone doesn't matter on my computer. If I change the time display to the top option in the UCP, I get the correct "posted XX ago". If I change to the bottom option, it reverts to "last year" for everything. No different than yesterday.

- Quality Definitely a subjective one. I think it mainly refers to the angles and conditions of the photograph and overall just how "professional" it looks. I think the front-on angle is very hard to work with as you can't see much of the aircraft and therefore a good portion of the image...

It's linked to the "My Date Format" setting in the UCP. I was seeing everything as "last year" until I changed that setting to something else.

I would assume that the occasional snowstorm or hurricane that hits the Northeast would cause longer delays than the current weather. Not to mention 9/11.

"Personal" means that the screener has written a custom message for you. You should be able to find it in your rejection email. In this case, the rejection was probably contrast, and the "personal" message probably clarified that as "low contrast".
