Re: need camera settings

Personally I use single shot focus because continuous/servo tends to hunt too much. I focus before every shot/burst. I'm glad someone else recognises this! Seems more of an issue with later cameras that have (apparently) more complex and reliable AF systems. I have to use my 80D in one-shot as the ...

Rejected after three second opinions  for banding, underexposed, and vignetting, with the message "needs lifting shadows". Thoughts? Not sure how much more shadows I can drag out of this, but thought it was a pretty unique shot to try and share here. https://imgproc.airliners.net/ph...

If I may quote myself... With that camera, you need to shoot planes that are 1. close to you, 2. not/slowly moving, and 3. well lit, on a sunny day in the morning or late afternoon with the sun at your back. I used a similar camera (Nikon S6000) for several years and had to follow all three of those...

Erm I never suggested 50...I said i have 50 photos in the database, but raising the max for experienced photographers might work, like you said probably no more than 20. Isn't it already that way? Certainly used to be. If you had no photos in the DB, you could only upload 1 or 2 at a time. Once you...

Makes sense. I just like the look of photos when the plane is on the ground (nothing against planes in flight), so I wanted to get interesting angles and details that one can't really get from parking garages. At many airports you can find a fence you can poke a lens through (or up to). Just be pol...

They would all be rejected for motive, I presume. Good eye though, I especially like the third, even more so if the focus point was obvious and purposeful. The first frankly isn't that interesting. The second may have been acceptable if it was portrait format to include the nose gear and not backlit.
