Re: TAP A340 at LHR CS-TOA

Oh yes I remember the Tristars too.

Air bazaar. ..
But the pictures are all historic ones so that doesn't mean they do now or routinely. TAP dont send Widebodies to LHR at the moment - they were sending A330s to VIE not sure if they still are at the moment.

Re: TAP A340 at LHR CS-TOA

Historically TAP operated a daily LIS-LHR flight with the A343 and, in recent years, (summers only I thought) there has been a regular A332 rotation. Perhaps if it has been operating in the past days it's been made year around. Really ??? When was that out of interest?. I don't recall ever seeing o...

I flew LHR-PSA (Pisa) on a BA A321 one Sunday last year and there were only 8 of us on it. 1 in C 7 in Y. They asked me plus a guy with his teenage son across the aisle, if we'd move back to cover the emergency exits. Quite happy too and get a bit more leg room.

Re: Qantas 787-9 Exceeding Expectations on Perth-London Route

FYI, especially in long haul, airlines try their darnedest to eliminate all reduced recline. Last row seats can sometimes be the better. Less crowded in the back of the plane, no 5 year old behind you constantly beating on the screen on your seatback, and in some airplanes, the last row may be one ...

Couldn't imagine Concorde carrying that strange 727 livery. But then a few other airlines had one off "odd" or experimental liveries. Pan Ams N748PA was a strange mix of small billboard and thick cheatline in later years. But this 727 is odd though, good job it didnt last

I've known that model for nearly 40 years. It used to be upstairs out of public view as they used to get their offices taken over once or twice a year by protesters, often causing a lot of damage. Upstairs was protected they could never get up there. So the Concorde was kept up there away from risk ...
