I always give the plane two taps with my right hand (just to the right of the door) when boarding. Me too! I'm exactly the same...that makes three of us then. I wasnt too sure whether to mention it the other day but more i thought of it the more it appeared a superstition I'd picked up. Can't say w...Jump to post
FRA I would say is worst, you get remote stands, long walks, sometimes security queues then sometime no security even though you're travelling the same route as before, but... but I might add Lufthansa deserve a large degree of blame too, for providing 45 min connections and then expecting their pas...Jump to post
Makes me think of Air Berlin with the way the red is shaped. Would have nice I think to have had say 5 or 737s done in different schemes through the ages (obviously have 2 distinctive ones already) but hard to know if the average passenger would notice. A silver QEA would have been interesting I thi...Jump to post
I've fortunately only had it happen once and very impressed with how it was handled. I was travelling around Australia and this particular day flying BNE-SYD-AYQ (Ayers Rock - Uluru) on QF. The BNE-SYD flight was delayed due to ATC delays in SYD. My connection was about an 1:15, when I arrived in SY...Jump to post
KLM have a special TV commercial here in the UK at the moment, I suspect it's being shown in other countries too, about several generations of the same family going to work for KLM over the years. Quite a nice advert and a proper 100 years unlike BA. I'm in AMS at the moment the flight this morning ...Jump to post
I suppose this is a good case of going on an (Air)bus man's holiday.....
If you're not familiar with "going on a busman's holiday" ....it's where you go on holiday from work but end up doing something similar or linked to your work.
The problem is simple, and others have mentioned it too. Airlines schedule connections that are too tight. Just the slightest delay or hold up somewhere and your connection becomes risky. If I know I have a tight connection (I try and avoid anything under 1 hour normally especially at a large hub), ...Jump to post
Probably neither the airports or airlines fault. If you held a different passport you could have made the connection. Welcome to brexit. Nothing to do with the OP's passport or Brexit. Correct! Utter rubbish to associate it with Brexit. Nothing to do with it and an ill informed comment. I flew LHR ...Jump to post
For example the daily Ryanair flight HAM-DUB has different departure times almost everyday, varying from the early morning to the afternoon, the flight number is still the same. They say people know what they were doing when JFK was shot or when Diana died. JL123 is like that for me, school holidays listening to the radio when the news broke. One of the best comedians of his day, all without swearing or dirty humor that we have today . 747-8 product is not a commercial failure if you considering both versions. Boeing slowed their production but not stopped yet. As much as I like the 747 it's a final squeeze of the orange. A lot of effort for a few more drops. .
Amazing. Had they given him a drink, what happens if he wants a second one? Makes you wonder how often does it occur when the cabin crew don't question or stop it.Jump to post
In late 2017 I flew from Heathrow to Pisa and back, for the day on a Sunday. The morning flight with BA was a A319, and we had 11 people on it, 1 in business and 10 in economy. Who decides on the registration? The first BA A350 XWB getting G-XWBA - seems like more than coincidence to me. The BA Whales are G-XLEA and so on, XL presumably being related to the size of the plane, 'extra large'. I agree longhauler, if I remember correctly the Peruvian 727 OB-1303 had been on lease to Air Malta and operated in full colours. I've got some pictures of it at LHR. For sentimental reasons the 747 and L1011 too.

Like Saturday June 29th, TP1354.
We'll never know now.
