JL moving their SYD flight to HND: https://press.jal.co.jp/en/release/201911/005393.html Must be some last minute wrangling going on. So where’s the MEL flight? Or will QF change their mind and fly from MEL instead of double daily SYD? With the capacity increase of SYD/HND going from 2x to 4x daily...Jump to post

IIRC it's JTB charter. Michael It was a FF Points Plane. Seats on the MEL-NRT sector were only bookable with QF FF points. https://www.qantasnewsroom.com.au/media-releases/qantas-launches-points-plane-exclusive-flights-for-frequent-flyer-redemptions/ That's MEL-NRT, but I'm talking about the return...Jump to post

This may be a stupid Question But Why is UA'S SFO-HND service operated by a 789 and not a 77W Like The NRT flight? Someone has already answered you. Going back through that thread, there is a lot of discussion about this too. https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1429379&p=215...Jump to post
For all of you attacking the thread may I ask what information or sources you have to counter the argument because so far I have seen none. Thank you. Everything I stated was fact backed up by sources. HP69, you suggested that UA has given up on TPAC, yet you also reminded us of the HND changes, an...Jump to post

I truthfully could see a potential CMN-LAX route in the future given the potential African connections at CMN and regional connections on AA through LAX. AA most likely wouldn't fly it as they only operate LHR from LAX... I think we'd see them go from DFW/CLT/JFK/ORD/MIA first... AA is starting sea...Jump to post
It's the same as if at the time of booking, the equipment stated was a 77W but when boarding you have an A330 at the gate. Do you think the pax has a case then too?Jump to post
I have seen them often at Ataturk Airport (Istanbul) back in 2016/2017. According to Wikipedia, they still operate the A310 to Istanbul also. Look's like a fun flight.

It seems the total amount of flights will remain the same. AY61/62 will be moved from NRT, while AY73/74 will stay there, like JAL's daily service. So next summer season HEL gets three daily flights, NRTx2 and HNDx1. JAL is granted a slot to Filandia, possibly moving NRT-HEL to HND-HEL leaving 2x (...Jump to post
Let's also remember that A LOT of JL (and NH) aircraft only do a few flights a day, and rest up overnight at HND/NRT as well. Earlier this year one of JL's B777-200ER only operated HND-SHA-HND for weeks on end, meaning it was on HND ground 16:45-09:20. JL and NH are more focused on the customer flo...Jump to post

However I don't think you can actually check in online for domestic flights, so you'd only get the boarding pass at the airport check in counter. You absolutely can. In what way would a 77W "better compete" with the other carriers? Considering the fact that AA flies the 77W on JFK-LHR and they may be generating alot of money from that why can't UA do that I mean isn't EWR-LHR a strong route for UA. Huh? You only get one boarding pass. At security, you get a receipt that says you passed through security. I don't know what you're referring to at the gate. You can even print out your boarding pass at home, and that's the same piece of paper that will get you on the plane. Yes that's right. Japan...Jump to post
