Actually I think HND A380 ops are permitted, but with very strict (and uneconomical) conditions like times and taxiways/runway usage.

I truthfully could see a potential CMN-LAX route in the future given the potential African connections at CMN and regional connections on AA through LAX. It's the same as if at the time of booking, the equipment stated was a 77W but when boarding you have an A330 at the gate. Do you think the pax has a case then too?

Huh? You only get one boarding pass. At security, you get a receipt that says you passed through security. I don't know what you're referring to at the gate. If we look at a different market that some may think has more demand is US-VIE, yet no US3 operate into VIE. So although it seems like a hole in the networks, it's economically inviable to operate.

Joining two destinations isn't uncommon. It could be decreasing passenger count in both SSG and PNR from increased competition (ET and TK), low aircraft availability or the aircraft can make more money somewhere else.

If you're originating in Tokyo, its easier to take a Shinkansen within a 2-2.5 hour radius.
