That was going to be my next question. Enormous effort to get them out of NZ & back home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk In addition to all the LH aircraft, NZ had a flight routed CHC-YVR-FRA on a B77W. Flight NZ1952. There were (and still are going to be) daily flights with NZ 77Ws from AK...Jump to post
That’s the 2nd consecutive day LH send an A380 to AKL & B747 to CHC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk And that is planned to happen for at least the next week! With 16,000 Germans stuck in New Zealand it’s an massive effort to get them home. It was probably an bit essay for people to exit Aus...Jump to post

I think you just found an expensive flight. I'm based in TYO, and whenever I've needed to go to Thailand, fares have never been that high. They are usually the same as NH or JL at about $600 rtn. Where are you flying from? I have always wanted to take them but they seem to be really expensive. I ha...Jump to post
Nope. Could potentially be distributed around the country? SYD/MEL/PER/BNE. A lot easier said than done, but could a few extra A380 be pushed through DRS and AUH? Are you meaning that QF push through the cabin refurbs faster than planned with the grounding of so many A380s? Cheers, C1973 Yes, that'...Jump to post

ATC for me. As Profits Increase Because The AirCraft Are Payed Off Upon Delivery, Save Money Then Have 2 "Beautiful Birds" Be Payed For Upon Delivery. You do realise that you won't have a profit until you've made the money back right? I'll bite and make it simple. Hypothetically you buy an...Jump to post
LH also used to operate daily FRA-BKK, continuing on alternate days BKK-SGN or BKK-KUL. There are still quite a lot around SE Asia as well. KL KUL-CGK and SIN-DPS, ET and MK on SIN-KUL, CX BKK-SIN, soon EK on SIN-PEN. There's also BR on BKK-LHR/VIE/AMS too. Just off the top of my head.Jump to post
I'm guessing it's Kingston, Jamaica. You could be right. After looking at the distance I found on travelmath.com, KIN is 9985km which is closest to what TK posted in that video. (If it is a new destination instead of IST-HAV-IST as mentioned above) Whereas DEN is 9865km, DFW is 10098km and DTW is 8...Jump to post

Why wouldnt they just fly direct to penang and back? Most likely reason being that they don't see sufficient demand for a 77W nonstop, but wish to move in on that destination before smaller eqp arrives. 100% correct I'm sure there will be a few pallets of cargo coming out of Penang as well. If there are any HND slots that are unused and the Japanese government gives NH more HND slots, can we maybe see NH launching HND-ZRH? It seems like the only missing link in their Europe network. I'd say G20 brings the most together. Taking BNE in 2014 as an example, we got some pretty cool primary and support aircraft.

HKG doesn't make much sense, but the advantage of SIN (or HKG) over somewhere like DEL, which would be the most direct route, is that MEL (or BNE or SYD) originating pax could be rebooked via the intermediate point so it is still only one-stop. I'm not sure what the impact would be on the crew duty...Jump to post

JL moving their SYD flight to HND: https://press.jal.co.jp/en/release/201911/005393.html Must be some last minute wrangling going on. So where’s the MEL flight? So now, will QF add a second SYD-HND in order to retire that B747 or will it instead "pull a JAL" and change MEL-NRT to MEL-HND?
