Not that simple, but I like how you think.
I know a few Airlines who does not fly a certain route, because their Alliance partner flies it.
IranAir just got suspended by the Swedish Transport Authority. They fly to GOT and ARN.

Jump to postSo I was lucky to get an OK to fly Business Class to/from Europe-USA. Was booked with Delta. Lots of great information on the outbound flight on Deltas website (A359 AMS-DTW) but couldn't find much on how the service/seats are on the return (B767-300 IND-CDG) Is there a big difference as far as comf...
Jump to postDid they release any specs/dimensions?
Saying that they have been flying a 2 meter long RC scale model doesn't say much.
GDG is the pits, and I don't mean T1. Connecting with AF (main airline at CDG) from a Shengen Country to a long-haul (non-Shengen) Country is terrible. I've flown CPH-CDG-DFW a few times in 2019, and I need at least 90 minutes (running) to transfer. When I can fly KL CPH-AMS-IAH I get through Schiph...
Jump to postIf you want to fly a RJ-85 or RJ-100, your best bet is to go to Sweden. Braatens Aviation (TF) still have 12 aircraft in active service. Stockholm City (BMA) is still a AVRO heaven. Not for long though, as aircraft will be replaced by ATR-72 in the fall of 2020
Jump to postMy pet peave is the following:
"Airline XXX is retiring their (insert Widebody aircraft) soon."
2 minutes later someone replies;
"I think Delta will pick them up, since they love to buy cheap used airplanes"
Is this a rumour, speculation or is there a source for this?
Jump to postA little bit off-topic but applicable to this thread:
What is the difference between LOI and MOU in the Airline business? Is one more binding?
It's definitely a "scam", or at least bad business practice.
Read the online reviews on this airline. It's common
Flew couple of times to LCY from various EU capitals and always appreciated the very short time you spent in the terminal compared to other big airports. Does some airports with small runnways (1500-1600m) where mostly jet aircraft can't go (apart A220-100/318 and RJs) located nearby City Centers e...

Jump to postI'm sorry if i sound like a grumpy old man, but I really hate it when people decide to "split" one thread in to 2. It happen so often on this forum. The offer of 11.5% would take the averag...

Jump to postWell, Norwegian decided to "take a break" on offering CPH-LAX this winter. That opens up for more PAX. Last year, SK also moved their Hong Kong flights from ARN to CPH. Sure, the Swedish tax and poor value of the SEK might be considered, IMHO I think that CPH will capture more PAX than ARN.
Jump to postIn the Airline Business, what is the difference between LOI (Letter of intent) and MOU (Memorandum of understandin) ??

Lockheed L-188 was even worse....
But seriously, how many spin-off topics on the MAX do we need? What is this, the 100th one??
Those Amapola birds are really showing their age. Maintenance done by switching parts back and forth between different aircraft. You can see them sitting on the south apron at MMX
Jump to postwell, perhaps we could at least wait and discuss issues like this until:
1) Boeing launch the aircraft (if)
2) Boeing release the specifications
Then, we should discuss "will Airline XX consider Boeings new BXXX
end of rant
I have doubts about Skytrax. They removed my unfavourable review of QR last year, despite it being objective and detailed.

BRA has just announced that they are laying off 363 employees. Severance negotiations are starting immediately. During 2019-2020 they will start phasing out "older jets" and do more of the flying with turboprops. They blame the reduction in the Swedish Domestic airline market. So they went...
Jump to postHi Guys & Dolls, I fly regularly CPH-IAH (about 14-16 times per year). I mostly fly with KLM though AMS. Jump to postWell,
When CASK is 0,46 NOK but RASK is only 0,28 NOK, you need to sell a hell of a lot of ancillary products and services to the passengers to earn money.
After logging my 600d flight last week, here are my 2 cents worth:
EUROPE:
Best: AMS, VIE
Worst: CDG, MAD
US:
Best: IAH
Worst: IAD (
ASIA:
Best: KIX
Worst: GMP (I know, it's basically Domestic now)
