RE: Airline And City Codes?

Well, these 2 sites may not be exactly what you're looknig for, but may be worth a try... 1st site - Airports Int'l : http://www.airportsintl.com/homeframe3.html Seemed to have a comprehensive list of airports and codes with airport into in it... 2nd site : http://www.postmodern.com/~mcb/misc/code.h...

RE: Difference Between DC-10 And L1011

Well, I remember reading somewhere (sorry but I can't remember WHERE??!!!) that I think SR (and perhaps Thai) had some DC-10-30ERs??... Not too sure tho... Never flown in any of them but I think they look awesome from the outside... The three holers sure don't look too bad... In fact, the MD-11, whi...

RE: Which Airline Has The Best First Class?

On the look of it, I'll have to agree with FaisZ that SIA's SkySuite is the best of the lot. But they only have it is all of their B744s EXCEPT their first 6 - registration 9V-SMA to 9V-SMH (SMB and SMD has been leased out to Ansett Australia)... Sadly they use these planes to fly SIN-AKL vv among o...

RE: 744's To Your City?

Hi people: WLG - well the airport runway is too short for a B747, largest aircraft you'll get on regular scheduled svc is QF's B763 (and sadly I heard QF is thinking of downgrading them to B733s)... No offence/disrespect to some of your posts here, think I'd like to clarify some points of your input...

RE: Garuda Indonesia A330s To?

I think they also fly to AKL via BNE - routing is something like DPS-BNE-AKL vv...

I also remember seeing them quite regurlarly in SIN - seemed to beo perating SUB-SIN-HKG vv or something like that. Not too sure about it now tho.

RE: SQ To Buy Up To 25 A3XX's

For the SIN-HKG-SFO beoing SQ's most important flight... Well, I'm not too sure - it certainly is one of the MOST Important, but most important??... Anyway, another "interesting" thing - the flight (and return) is using flight nos SQ1 and SQ2 - so if flight numbers are anything to go by, perhaps tha...

RE: QANTAS-BA /747-400

I'm posting specifically to answer Sccutler's question above on Air NZ and UA installing PTVs on economy... Well, I do no that Air NZ has NOT yet made plans/announce their decision to install PTVs on economy class, hence you're not likely to find them in any of their aircraft in the near future. As ...

RE: SIA Nicknames

Hmmm... Interesting topic it seems... Anyway, I guess to trace a bit of history of how all these nicknames came about... Well, I believed it started way back in the early 80s, when SIA had only B747-212B then as their only B747 aircraft, then they had the B8747-300s, with a strached upper deck and d...

My First Ever Flight...

This report is actually for a flight I took way back in 1989 (yes 11 years ago!) on Air NZ. I visited my sister who was living in New Zealand then (and still do - and I live in NZ now!). Details as follow: Flight NZ : TE26 (AirNZ's code fir int'l flight was TE then) Aircraft : N767-200ER Registratio...
