Update: Here's the official press release from Delta. Included is an additional photo showing the front of the seat. From what I can gather, its the same size as a typical domestic F seat, but with a shell installed around it for privacy / sleeping. There also appears to be a footrest in the photos...

Employee feedback was negative on the designs but the company still pushed forward. Why? all these new ways of cramming more people into the cabin mean one thing and thats cheaper fares! If you dont like the cramped seating you can upgrade to MCE or First. But for everyone else that doesn't care about comfort, its a win for them as more people than ever before are now able to fly....

They have used the 73G on SNA-ATL. AA uses the 738 on SNA-DFW. Delta could just get rid of DTW-SNA since it's been stopped and started more times than I can remember and just move that SNA slot to ATL and use all 738 on SNA-ATL. The additional frequency would make up for the drop in equipment size....
