I just booked a friend in Harare a flight to get out of there. I suggested yesterday that he book to get out today (the 15th), but he wanted to see how things shake out. I don't know how the situation is around the airport, but flights seem to be operating out of the country. From what I am told, th...

Wow! some kind of electronic sign with information about a flight??
Only 10+ years behind everyone else.
It's a fun airport to fly in and out of, or to watch people fly in and out of. I used to live in Salzburg's Moosstraße, near the flight path, and Saturdays in Winter would include any number of flights, from Transaero 744s to Austrian F70s. I feel sorry for the people on the flight, though. Between ...

I was finally able to get United to give me a dummy booking with LH Premium Economy seating on the TATL portions and at the same price as LH.com. But I went through Google Flights and not United.com. I just wish UA would enable that as an option while searching. Previously, it would give you UA firs...

Jump to postI've only ever flown LH's premium economy, but it's pretty great. Especially if you're willing and able to pay the $600 to bump yourself up to Business (eg on FRA-IAD).
Even without paying for a bump, it's excellent, I've slept very well on ORD/IAH-FRA/MUC on the 748, A380, and A346.
The plan was:
SZG-VIE-IAD-OKC
but what happened was:
SZG-VIE-FRA-BOS-IAD-IAH-OKC
Missconnects in VIE, FRA, and IAD
Tech stop in Boston because our 748 had a landing gear sensor malfunction.
LH took good care of us though, nice hotels in FRA and IAD.
Is there anyway to book a LH premium economy ticket on a United issued ticket?
I've tried fiddling with the United booking engine, but nothing. If I try to book via a third party site, I'd get LH issued tickets with LH codes.
I'm trying to figure out how to get the PQDs without paying for business.

Jump to postI lost MP Silver this year and have already forgotten that I used to get a free bag.
It almost makes me reminiscent for 10+ yearly TATL trips.
IAH, DEN, ZRH, MSP, CVG, BWI, ATL, MEM, WAW
I've changed flights and trains in MUC 20+ times, but I've only ever spent a couple hours in the city itself.
So, buying a ticket for a job interview and the option to buy an "extra" checked bag. Now, the question is: is this just pre-paying for the checked bag I would pay $2 more for at the airport? If so, why not just call it "Add a checked bag" or something similar? It just seems like...
Jump to postNo update on this? It didn't look like they either ferried one in or sent the original flight off?
I'm guessing UA and LH were able to put them on flights to other hubs (eg ORD, IAD, EWR) today? Or just put them on today's flight?
I assume the shortsightedness of King County people accounts for the light rail, new 520 bridge, waterfront tunnel (which I'm personally a huge proponent of getting rid of the viaduct), trolleys and other infrastructure development. Not sure where you get that. Because light rail, eg, should have b...

I'm glad to see the EWR flight is no longer on a Godforsaken 145.
I am booked on the evening return when I come back from VIE in a couple weeks. Before it was a 175, I would pay extra to avoid a connection through EWR.
Because they are generally no more than 1/2 hrs. Having the middle seat blocked is nice, as it gives you more room to work, and if you are connecting onto a long haul flight, you have the benefit then of enjoying a proper J seat.
