Does anyone have a clue on how is the LF for AKL-EZE? Next year Argentina Authority will move half of the international flights from AEP to EZE (and from 2018 all international flights will move to EZE). Hope this movement brings more connecting opportunities for NZ to cities such as SAO, RIO and SCL.

We use to swap 744 to A343 out of JNB on a seasonal basis every year. It is a seasonal market, they probably can make more money with the A380 on different routes. BA operates the 77W and 788 to GRU and GIG, respectively. To claim that their aircraft are old is being pedantic, at best. Especially when JJ operates the same 77W on the route. Wrong you are! Sorry but you are not entirely accurate. BA's product to GRU is poor. I use them about three times a year (plus at least once to GIG). Their aircrafts are old and the only thing premium is the price. Distance wise BSB-ATL by DL 757 was the longest of all the routes listed on this topic. It was not affected much by winds like trasnatlantic routes though.

While I don't have information abouut the performance of the flight, I'd not be surprised to see them axing this route and relocating the 738 to secondary destinations not served by EK as part of the merge.

I expected them to upgauge AUH-GRU route to a 789 before pulling the plug altogether.
Long and thin route that could use the right capacity and lower operating costs vs A346 and 77W that were used.

I checked the FAO wikipedia page and there is not a single flight between Faro and Italy. So truly out of the box. I reckon this will be sold mostly to Italian tour-operators. I'd prefer to drive around an hour or more to fly from VCP which is 150km from SP downtown if there were more airlines/flight options from there, which is faster than reach GRU even if you're in Sao Paulo downtown due the traffic nightmare. Flown multiple times daily on E90 and CRJ. Also served by AF 772 on CDG-EZE-MVD route.

On a straight line SCL-MDZ is 122 mi/200km. Flown by LA and H2 on A320
