My wife's texts don't make any sense even when they're spelled correctly. Funny that. So based on the OPost Android doesn't offer spellcheck or predictive text? . It does offer both predictable text and autocorrect but you can turn off both and also turn off autocorrect but keep predictable text. Y...Jump to post

- C-17 with supplies. Since the Dutch don't have a C17 , I guess it must be a UK RAF C-17. They do or rather they are joint owners of 3 C17 together with the 11 other members of Strategic Airlift Capability. I don't know but I would assume that the C-17 they are using are one of the SAC C-17s. http...Jump to post
I think the general consensus is that it is easier to learn new languages as a child then it is as an adult.
I think it has to do with that children in general are more receptive to learning then someone that is 50-60 years old,
that they are are biologically programmed to learning mode.

According to Wikipedia, SAS tried (unsuccessfully however) to merge with KLM, Star Alliance partner Austrian Airlines, and the now defunct Swissair, in a project called Alcazar in 1993. What kind of airline would it be today if the merge happened? I don't know but you can read about it here http://...Jump to post

It will be interesting to see how plastic changes in the future. The fact that it does not degrade easily is one of it biggest strength, but the fact that it does not degrade at all is one of its worst/biggest issues now. It is persistent and pernicious in the environment and it must be addressed. ...Jump to post
The British system is national while the Swedish system is a regional system (landsting or regions as some have started to call themselves).
Here's another option: Go to Denmark, Finland, Norway or Sweden. Bring a xerox copier, borrow the text, copy, implement, raise taxes to pay for it. Job jobbed. As a Scandinavian, I would never wish that system upon any body. Not only is it extremely expensive for society (they are trying to figure ...Jump to post

Building a HSR network costs big money which will come from... tax money.
It will also take a very long to build. A new Swedish HSR wouldn't be finished until 2035.
That is way too long and the technology used might be obsolete by then.

Maybe Lufthansa is having issues with it's A380's at FRA. Five A380's will be moved from FRA to MUC. Along with that, FRA will lose A380 service to LAX, PEK, ICN, and HKG. Instead, MUC will get A380 flights to LAX, PEK, and HKG. Isn't that more down to politics with FRA than problems with demand? I...Jump to post

Regardless of how much or little humans affect climate change, reducing pollution and being less environmental friendly can never bee a bad thing.
You just have to look at cities that have a problem with smog to realize that pollution have to decrease if we want to continue to have a breathable air,

I'm old enough to remember (in the UK) when gents used to doff their hats to ladies. Gentlemen always walked on the outside of their wives/children. Teachers were referred to as 'Sir' or 'Ma'am'. It was all about respect . I truly miss those days. Now there is so little respect in the world sadly. ...Jump to post
