Re: Are We Witnessing The Demise of American Society

Under what circumstances - in the future - would some of you think of leaving the US? I've honestly been thinking of it currently, though I'm not sure how to even go about it and what financial penalties I would face if I actually did something like that. I do not like the state this country is in....

Re: United Fleet, Network, & Livery Thread - 2020

Hi, I know this has probably been discussed, but can anyone tell me why United has changed most (if not all) of their international flights to have 2XXX numbers? Is there any way to tell if these are cargo flights? I've also noticed the 777-300ER's are being flown out of LAX to HKG and other random ...

I am in real estate in Oklahoma City. It has SLOWED things down quite a bit. We are working on new ways to reach clients. Like FB live open houses, video tours, facetime appointments with clients. All that can be done. What cannot be done is the lost confidence of buyers. Regardless of mortgage rate...

O.K. I think I found it. https://www.boeing.com/commercial/777/#/gallery If you look at the linked photo, you'll see that on the top of Section 43 (right above the "B"), there is the top beacon light. This matches with the 777-300 light. Edit: However, if you look at the Sam Chui video on...

Re: Boeing 777X Testing/Production Thread - 2020

Looking at the renderings on Boeing's site now, they sure seemed to have dialed back the interior mock ups quite a bit. Also, the engine nacelles seem to be lacking the large metal inlets vs. what we have been seeing in real life, seeming to go back to what we've seen on previous 777 versions. Anyon...

Seems AA/Eagle are pretty happy with their combined service at OKC, and probably have doubled their flying base here with all of the new service they have added (latest being MIA) so I wouldn't be surprised if LGA was next on the list of airports they connect nonstop to OKC. What always puzzled me is that on the 777 and 787, the inboard ailerons droop way down as thrust is applied at take off. As the plane goes down the runway, they go up, almost too high, then further down the runway, they droop back to whatever flap setting is selected.

All of the US Airlines felt that both the 744 and 777 were too large for their networks. Only NW bought the 744 and I recall nearly all 777 orders for US carriers were rather late, in the last decade mostly. United had quite the fleet of 744's, so that's partially untrue.
