most of those DTW-BWI back in the NW days were on 757's too. I always worked the 5pm which was packed to the gills. Ceding the market only confuses more about Delta's future goals for DTW.

AMS is definitely better to connect at vs CDG. I can't stand 767's so if I was going to FRA from DTW I'd def hit that A350 up over AMS. I am fortunate enough now to live close enough to an A380 nonstop MIA-CDG although that is ending soon, so my trips next year I will fly to DTW just to get the A350...

It may be distance wise, but fly the da*n flight, the north south routings day after day make the run in 2.5 hours to FLL, yet it takes nearly 2 always to BOS except perhaps the 6am run. You don't fly much that I can tell.

DTW-FLL is 2.5 hours, DTW-BOS is 2 hours flight time, I fly them both more than I care to admit. It really isn't that much a difference to connect on EK at either.
