They are currently all ex LAN, 2012-2013 built (except for PT-MOG which is 90's built and has a different interior). They are a nice ride, with J cabin similar to the 787s.

I´ve flown these seats on 788, but it was a short flight, so could not feel the issues people mention...In a short flight they seemed ok (except for the backward facing seats)

Not being retired, just being moved to other franchises outside Chile. All JJs 767 came from LA, for example.

I would infer from the link that they do have traffic rights on GRU-SCL.

Having flown around 100k miles in JJs 767 the last few months, in both Y and J, I can confirm that the product is pretty nice. (again, not everyone agrees on everything). The Y seats have good pitch and cushion, and service is fine. Their J seat is good (it may have its flaws and not be the best one...

Honestly it's about time someone launched BOS-Brazil. With CM going 2x daily next year and AV doing very well on BOS-BOG it only was a matter of time. A 787 would be a perfect aircraft for GRU-BOS!
