I think the main focus will be to modernize the today underused T1 before building a new terminal. It is not like the airport lack gates right now. With just the existing terminals the airport could handle over 90 million passengers, so it is more a question of just modernizing existing facilities....

What's this obsession with mergers and consolidation? It's as if some people on here won't be happy until the US is left with a single carrier. Consolidation is inevitable and cuts out waste. Maybe they scale back on the Taj Mahal terminal buildings to impress who knows who. Design and build modern contemporary terminals that do not cost as much as whole airport projects and maybe DWC can still be built out and used.

Not to mention the stadium is one of the first things you see if landing in LAS from the west and driving up the strip or I-15. The amount of eyeballs seeing the name and on TV in the fall makes this a slam dunk marketing awareness wise.
