I think one issue is the working group doesn't even have much information yet to share. They just started this a couple months ago. People keep wanting answers that no one has. It is easy to say give us info! But what info do they really want to know that the working group has an answer to? It seem...Jump to post

Do any of the E175s sport the new livery?
I’m optimistic about this and the viability of the entire operation after they cut 5 US markets in a week that were supposedly doing “very well.” Did you even look at the loads WW had at JFK, DFW, CLE, CVG and STL? They were performing, they flat out even told (at least the STL airport) A WOW offic...Jump to post

Can we chill with this "CHS is a mecca for tourism and industry" Let's look at the facts, shall we: https://www.anna.aero/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Top-25-unserved-US-markets.jpg These facts leave out STL. 300 daily pax depart daily for Europe. Strange they are not listed in this data. H...Jump to post
Hard to find hard facts on the total number of European visitors to STL each year, but the Post, back in 2013 reported this "About 87,000 travelers from those countries (Canada, Europe, Mexico) visited the area in 2013, according to the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission" http...Jump to post

You expect anything less from the news? Surprised they didn't use stock roll video with a TWA L-1011. :stirthepot: The thing that ticks me off about this whole this is they told the airport on 9/5, "WOW Air is really happy with the St. Louis route this summer." and then they release that ...Jump to post
Just like STL you all got hosed by WW. Watch this and note the part of the 5-Sept email WW sent to the airport. Then they totally change their mind in the PR release and make the airport/city look like it was them. https://www.kmov.com/news/wow-air-pulling-out-of-st-louis-saying-summer-performance/a...Jump to post

I am not going to get too upset about this if they were expecting 90% loads like they are stating. I wouldn't have expected us to hit 90% on an airline not many have heard in the first year. First month or two maybe but after the initial people excited about it calms down I feel like asking for 90%...Jump to post
I’m just most ticked that I didn’t get to take a trip to Iceland because of it. Hopefully someone else will come fill the opening. We’ll see Just look for one of their sales and then cart yourself up to ORD and fly Ice Air. Entirely worth it. FI is at MCI too. Easier drive and less hassle that ORD!Jump to post
This is definitely a huge set back for STL. I really feel terrible for the RouteDev team. This stings horribly. Will be very difficult to get another TATL to enter the STL market again. I think you are wrong. STL will see another carrier. One that actually can sustain their business with a viable a...Jump to post

STL was the first to fall and I think that JShank83's communication with the airport peeps expedited the announcement from WW. Other cities will see the guillotine fall on them soon. PIT, MCO CLE, CVG, etc. It is just a matter of time. They are hemorrhaging cash and their lack of "luck" to...Jump to post

Probably one of the most awkward questions I have seen posted here, but I guess the answer to your question is here?? I say that with a question mark too.

So, will they go under before their entire fleet is re-painted? Place your bets, folks! 1 down, 24 to go! Not surprised to see all the negative comments. Pretty typical for a new livery thread. :stirthepot: While options C and D were my favorites, It is not horrible. I would like to see them do one...Jump to post
Don't forget, ATL is also a thousand feet up in altitude, as well I don't know much about meteorology, how does elevation effect something like this? Thanks! Good question! My old guess is the decrease in temperature, although minimal can weaken the storm/winds faster as in moves inland.Jump to post
Looking at videos from the same airfield, their landing looked spot on. Yeah it does look close, but at the end of this video, you can see that the planes parked at the end how tight this area is
I’m there at the morning rush. 6am -9am. The TSA agents just move slowly and distract themselves with conversation. So it goes slow. Not sure you need another line. You just need to process people faster. What really irks me is that the TSA Pre-Check lines are often longer than the regular ones. 90...Jump to post

Found the renderings for the new baggage claims area. Looks good. Extra concessions also. To bring this all back to the latest convo, Wn wouldn't be getting all this branding in T1 (assuming the branding stays). I got to thinking, with all of this flip-flopping terminal chat. Down the road, if WN continues to expand and in need of more room, would this remotely be an option for expanding? A hammer and nails could solve all the problems. At least with a swap here, it'd be pretty much on the same building, campus. You have airports like LGA where JetBlue and Alaska just took off overnight to the Marine Terminal, causing a massive cluster. Then several airlines have split operations at...Jump to post
Good to see BFL get some love. DFW-GNV is not a route I would have expected. Thought they flew DFW-BUR. LGA-TYS was there before. DCA-OKC was there before I thought. ^ I doubt the airport can straight-up force any airline to move. Even if they could, it's probably best not to piss off your number 1 airline. I also question whether AA would want to move anyway, especially seeing as how the AA lounge is at the B/C/D connector. Sure, T2 has Wingtips, but I doubt A...Jump to post

One thing that will help answer this is in the article below. The lucrative cargo business which the 763 and 772 are perfect for on many routes from MIA to South/Central America.
