Really hope this pans out! Getting there is such a pain now from the states. Have flown VN on a few domestic flights and loved them. Our daughter was adopted from Vietnam and we love the people, culture and of course the amazing food! Looking forward to an STL-LAX-SGN! Last time we went we had to ro...

Re: St. Louis Mayor Visits British Air Execs, UK

I found the last poll question the best. "Would you attend a wedding reception at Lambert?" Ha! I hope this works out but unsure it would be a success. Maybe 2x weekly? But since 57% of the traffic at STL in 2015 was on WN, and just about 20% was AA, I don't know.... It is obvious that Sla...

VN delivery flight of new B789 (VN-A868) CHS to ???

Was looking up my flight tomorrow and saw HVN98 (VN-A868) flying across Wisconsin. Looks like she originated in CHS and might be on her delivery flight. What is done to the 787 in CHS? Just curious. That is a long flight if they did CHS-HAN (7550 NM) or CHS-SGN (8161 NM) would assume that she will h...

Very glad to see that this has finally started to unfold. It will be VERY nice to not have more than one connection for us to get to SGN anymore. Usually we have to go STL/SFO/ICN/SGN or even add DEN into that mix! STL-LAX-SGN will be great!!!

If that tail number is right, here is the Ravn Alaska plane based off the FAA serial number .

Looks like she spent her early life over in SE Asia.

Ravn Alaska involved in midair collison in AK: 5 Dead

Sadly, five perish in this crash. Looks like 7H 3190 on 8/31/16. Not sure of the registration on the 208. Hageland (dba Ravn) has had a bad go in the past 4 years with crashes. I remember watching the TV show "Flying Wild Alaska" when Era Alaska was featured as was Hageland. Now all under ...

Used to fly TW from STL-MIA and then MIA-MTH on Air Sunshine and then later PBA on DC-3s. Even got to fly out of EYW a few times on PBA as a lad, both back in the late 70s and 80s. Was a blast.

Re: LGA is a parking lot tonight. 8/14. No North or West departures due to wx

That was an event for sure. After we pushed, 20 mins waiting to taxi out. Once we did, we ended up on the taxiway for 55 minutes shutdown before they re-routed us out. Seems like the flights that suffered the most were those heading North. I have to say the entire flight crew did a great job keeping...

Some flights are getting re-routes. The rest are like us. Shut down or SET so they can shuffle planes around. Pretty messy.

Sitting on the taxiway right now engines shutdown on WN1495 to STL. Seems that all West and North departures are shutdown due to weather. Some planes I am hearing on live atc have been on the ground for almost three hours and some not able to return to a gate. Any other airports in the NE as slammed...

There is the original thread that has been going since the crash.

Probably easier to consolidate over there versus have multiple discussions on the same topic.

I travel to TUL once every month or so. Lived there for 13 years and the numbers of flights available from STL are half of what they used to be. Used to have options all day, nonstop. Now a late morning to Tulsa and a late flight home makes it tough to get there. Found the same with OKC too.
