Re: The US 2018 Elections

They have doubled and tripled down. It will be a stunning defeat for their anti-family social agenda!! Just out of curiosity, how is the democratic platform at all "anti-family'? Mass deportations literally break-up families. Banning gay marriage and/or adoption literally prevents families fro...

Re: Someone forged a Nobel Peace Prize nomination of Trump, Norwegian officials say

Why does every day need a thread that has some negative story or angle about Trump? I can understand why many people think the guy is not an impressive person, but the constant redicule looks most of all like a childish obsession. Regressive leftists who thrive on these stories should be happy the ...

Re: Delta risks $40 mill in tax breaks over NRA riff

I know you've managed to convince yourself that this is some incredibly complex issue in order to justify your views when in fact there are some very simple steps that can be taken. The NRA and it's ilk wants the world to believe that this is incredibly complex because the simple solution of putting...

Re: Delta risks $40 mill in tax breaks over NRA riff

Absolutely-not. So its safe to say you are pro-carnage? I don't mean to be sensationalist or extreme, but when you concede that the automatic gun ban saved lives but you would "Absolutely-not" consider further action along those lines, I can only assume you have no interest in gun safety ...

Re: Georgia Lt. Governor Threatens DL Over Cutting Ties with NRA

Blaming guns for suicide is like blaming roads for traffic. I know this is not the point, but you absolutely can blame roads for traffic. For example, if a road system was designed 100 years ago to adequately serve the needs of driver back then, but haven't been updated since then to account for hi...

Re: Delta risks $40 mill in tax breaks over NRA riff

You said it yourself. A ban on certain types of weapons can sometimes reduce the carnage. Is that not reason enough to follow though with those bans? ! Absolutely-not. So its safe to say you are pro-carnage? I don't mean to be sensationalist or extreme, but when you concede that the automatic gun b...

Re: Delta risks $40 mill in tax breaks over NRA riff

Mav: Full-auto weapons have been illegal for sale to the general public since the National Firearms Act of 1934. Over 80 years. It doesn't prevent massacres, but it can sometimes reduce the carnage. You said it yourself. A ban on certain types of weapons can sometimes reduce the carnage. Is that no...

Re: Who is pointing guns on you?

Ahh the old 'slippery slope' argument. Until there is a real discussion about removing the 2nd Amendment altogether, the will be no slippery slope. The regulations I'm discussing are all about responding to changes in what weapons are available today as opposed to what was available when the Bill of...

Re: Would you take a later flight pls sir, the best offer you've had.

I was booked on 2 overbooked flights in 2 days from Steamboat Springs to Chicago back in 2011. In no rush to get back to Chicago so I ended up with 2 extra nights hotel in Steamboat with meal vouchers on Delta and $1,200 in Delta vouchers. Not a bad gig at all.

Re: Who is pointing guns on you?

Isn't all this missing the point? There are already a great deal of restrictions on what kinds of arms people can own (and remember, the 2nd Amendment says nothing about guns, only arms). You can't go out and buy a shoulder launched anti-aircraft missile and you can't go buy a personal self-propelle...

Re: Oldest commercial airliner in service?

IFL Group is flying some cargo Convairs on an ad-hoc basis and scheduled routes around the US and the Caribbean. These planes must be from the mid to late 50's. For Example, N141FL is still going and blowing and I see a 1953 year of manufacture on that one.

Re: DL Employees Share $1.1 Billion USD in Profit Sharing Today

Gotta be honest, I don't really have a horse in this race However, just using the debate in this thread it seems to me like DL is doing a stand-up job with a solid profit sharing program to those who want it and a decent base pay increase to those that prefer not to rely on profit sharing. Good for ...

Something wrong with flight tracking today?

I'm noticing that a number of flight tracking systems are acting up today. FR24 / RB24 is missing information (more so than usual). Flights on Flightaware are either showing estimated positions on private flights and charters, or inaccurate positions on a lot of scheduled flights. Flightview (a subs...

Atlas/Qantas 744 at least once a week.

If I think of more, I'll edit later!
