152 absolutely...It'll cost so much less in the long run, and you'll learn the same exact things anyway. All you'll need to fly the 172 is a checkride as far as I know.

The airplane in it's current rendition sports very un-conventional styling, which I do think is cool looking. Unfortunately, I'm willing to bet that the final product won't resemble the drawings 100%...not even 80% I'll decide when I see heavy metal.
