Re: City Triangle 3: MHS Aviation Dornier 328 to Hamburg

very nice report and wonderful photos... one side note, however: The flight is operated under SunAir of Scandinavia, incl. the crew and catering and all the rest of it. SunAir is the franchisee of BA, MHS just a sublessor of the actual aircraft. In the past they also supplied flight crew, but AFAIK ...

Re: Could the Boeing NSA be a CSeries-sized 3+2 design with LD3-45 capability?

If they were going that route, wouldn't they try to buy the C-Series rather than re-engineer a similar plane? in late 2001/early 2002, Boeing was after Fairchild Dornier, which had designed the original airplane - the Do728 & 928 - which it had sold to various customers already to the tune of 1...

MSN 229 EK #95 emerged from final assembly. So Airbus in all secrecy has developed those huge winglets for the A380 !? Is that now the new A380NEO with the 50% trip cost reduction?[/quote] you mean those wingfences ? They are the standard issue at Airbus for decades now... I think there is a compar...

Re: Airbus A320NEO Production Thread - Part 11

You can chose to believe that, but QR's issues on the A320NEO are not only GTF related and there are operating conditions (heat) that affect QR and not other operators which are an issue on the NEO. Indeed the relationship is very strained, that is why things are playing out on the press and the ca...

Re: A350 Production And Delivery Thread Part 17

Thank you Erebus for the photos comparing the two different designs... you can see immedaitely that the lower version (by Saft) is a European design: much more sturdy, much higher quality look and feel, covers on all external openings and plugs, cooling rip design on top... bravo ! Anyone doubting t...

unfortunately, the state-run or state-controlled airlines of Asia will never make money with local dumbarse ppl in charge. the likes of Thai, MAS, PAL, Garuda and others are simply too stupid and the ppl are chosen for political or family...

RE: Delta Officially Announces Premium Economy

not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the Premium Eco cabins are usually priced in the range of the old school - full-flex Eco tariff, that ppl hardly chose nowadays... in my flying experience in Premium Eco, it was always around that bar. In reality, if a company books you a full-flex eco...

RE: Etihad Not Interested In A380neo

I think the A380NEO will come - in the form of a stretched A380-900 and perhaps with 11 abreast in economy... Airbus has to develop the airframe as they have done with all other products - and as has Boeing: The parallels to the 747 story are still amazingly similar if not even congruent (ok, no A38...
