Re: AS to join OneWorld / AA to make SEA an Intl gateway

A lot of doomsday scenarios here, but we have to wait and see. There were those who predicted WNs acquisition of FL would create a cascading effect that would eventually topple DL entirely. Obviously, that didn't happen. Of course AS is larger in SEA than DL, but it's not as though DL is going to ju...

Re: British Airways interested in flying US Domestic Routes

It might be a good tactic to maybe scare the legacies into acting right. Tell them to ditch basic economy, bag fees, and restore legroom to something livable. I hate being nickel and dimed. Just charge the customer what a decent experience costs. Ya know, kind of like what Southwest does. The ultra...

Re: British Airways interested in flying US Domestic Routes

Access to the US domestic market has long been sought by the UK side. Before EU/US open skies, the UK repeatedly tried to tie expanded access to LHR with UK carrier access to the domestic US market. It's not going to happen. And frankly, I don't see why UK carriers would even want access considering...

They tried to land on a wet runway, with a 20+ knot tailwind. That wouldn't be legal at my airline for a 737, I doubt it is there either. Why didn't they request an approach with headwind? Can a pilot request that or is it the airport that decides which direction a plane lands? Also, it must have b...

KL and LH served both SYD and MEL. BA also served ADL at some point in the early 90s. I seem to remember it was routed something like LHR-BKK-KUL-ADL.

AZ and OA also served SYD and MEL back in the day.

You should be able to find old timetables with routings at departedflights.com
