One other airport I find efficient is YYZ - both Canada and US immigrations and it works well even when I have my son and wife who don't have Global Entry. The lines are well handled for the traffic. I liked YUL, YHZ and YVR too although the lines were not as long as YYZ. One other European airport...

Both Texas cities and Seattle escape unscathed. I think the upgauge to the A380 is still a possibility; I wouldn’t close the door on that yet.

MHT has been discussed recently for negative yet justifiable reasons. But today (Saturday) FedEx will fly an MD-11 here from Columbia, SC and then onward to Cologne, Germany. It’s due in around 3pm and it’s a nice day.

Yesterday’s BA A380 went out from Boston last night with the Speedbird 45 Bravo callsign. The list of them is a long one. I get the idea: to avoid ATC confusion. So why don’t we see this happening at Atlanta, or Chicago? ‘Congestion’ isn’t something particular just to Heathrow.

Us MHT followers knew this day was coming. Unless you’re going to Chicago and not trying to connect elsewhere, that service was miserable. Another possible issue in the winter is snowbank height along the taxiways. Logan has been described as challenging by BA A380 Guys so I can only imagine that snowbanks exacerbate that.

Aside from the technicalities of the 'three-point-turn,' it really isn't a settled issue that EK even NEEDS the A380 at Boston. MHT is already 3rd busiest for cargo in the region. But even so I’m wondering why FEDEX doesn’t fly both MEM and IND. UPS has the Rockford, IL flight, which may have more to do with the Logistics center than a need for more consumer freight.

Kind of worrisome that BOS is going to be one of the ‘disgruntled destinations.’ Certain peak times notwithstanding, EK struggles to hit 80%LF and now the microscope on the route will be even more focused. Joy.

I've been on the daytime BOS-LHR flight twice...once in a 777 and again on the 787-9. In neither case was the plane full. I guess I agree that MHT did in fact 'punch out of its class' during the days when UA sent 757s there. Happily, I flew on them many times. But when you look at the metro area sizes, we are where we should be: PVD is 38, PWM is 105, and MHT is 131. Even so, there are factors that put an asterisk next...
