TWA operates nonstops from STL to both HNL and OGG. Why don't they have to deal with the crew rest issues like UA and DL? It's well over 8 hours.

Continental 764 Seat Configuration

When CAL begins operating there 764's to Hawaii, will they be in the same seating configuration as the transatlantic 764's. Will the first class still have the 2-1-2 layout and will there be the same number of FB seats and coach class seats as on the current 764's. Thanks.

US Airways is thinking about cutting their costs by decreasing the number of short hop costly routes while increasing the number of long haul profitable routes and high liesure market routes. What long haul destiniations do you think they will add to their system after they begin to recover?

PIT Runway Question

Does anybody know why the first 4,000 ft. of runway 28L at Pittsburgh International has been closed for the past two months? When I flew in last Friday night we landed on the remaining 7,500 ft. after performing a go around because the airplane in front of us missed his taxi way.

Also, one of the primary purposes of that flight was to put DL passengers coming from Maui on the hnl-atl nonstop, but now that doesn't exist anymore. So they did away with it.

I think UA DEN-HNL would be a good possibility. Probably with a 763. How does TWA get away with operating the STL-OGG,HNL routes with a 763 and not have to deal with crew rest issues. Is their policy just different?

Was that a -300 or a -200 on the BRU-DFW route? The -200 has significantly greater range than the -300. That's why I'd be curious to find out if what you were flying was a 300. Thanks.

Longest A330-300 Routes

Can anybody tell me some of the longest regularly scheduled routes the A330-300 flies? US Airways and a few European carriers use them on transatlantic flights, but they never seem to exceed 4,000 miles. City pairs and mileage would be great! Thanks a lot.

I think the newest color scheme makes Delta look like a vacation airline instead of a business airline. The '97 scheme is sharper in my opinion, but I don't particularly care for either. The newest livery is too bright while the interim livery is too dark. They need to find an inbetween.

I was spotting at PIT today and an unexpected US Airways 767-200er came in at around 3:10pm and recieved a water cannon salute as it taxied to the gate.
