Re: Will the 5-party agreement to resolve the Wright Amendment be revisited?

i There is room to add gates at the airport. Also, I believe that a few gates could be constructed on the foot print of the old gates 41, 42, and 43 and be connected via underground walkway from just inside the TSA area. Shoot, the easiest thing to do would be to build a north concourse from the ce...

Re: Will the 5-party agreement to resolve the Wright Amendment be revisited?

The rental car lots could be moved off site as has happened at many airports, allowing construction of gates at that location. .. the last thing I want to do is schlep my luggage to a taxi or a shuttle to get my car rental...I've done off-site car rental only once and it was miserable. Re: Will the 5-party agreement to resolve the Wright Amendment be revisited?

Can Airliners own Airports? This is an honest question. Could WN make an offer to the city of Dallas to purchase DAL someday? Could WN afford to do it? Why would any airline want to sink several billion dollars into the purchase of an airport ? Airlines have other ways to spend their hard earned ca...

Re: Will the 5-party agreement to resolve the Wright Amendment be revisited?

In my opinion, any attempt to "resolve the Wright amendment" will have to start outside of the five parties that signed the agreement, which bars them from trying to modify the agreement. Another airline will need to get it's state's senators to push for an amendment to the agreement allow...

The airline probably has fulfilled its legal obligations, but that's pretty awful customer service. . BINGO! That was my point. Now in the big scheme of things, this is a pretty small event. Laws are easily changeable. As you point out, the original WA was amended more than once. If politicians in Dallas wanted to, they could get it done. They won't because of Southwest. MDW -- in looking at the airport layout it appears that 4R/22L is about 550 feet from the terminal, but since planes are parked at gates on the runway side of the terminal, I'd guess that you might be looking at about 300 feet from runway to plane tails.
