Message For TG992

Hello again. I was wondering if you could help me out with the registration for today's CX108 service (23 March). I was meant to fly out on it today but I'm flying out tomorrow instead, and I'm rather curious as to what registration I would have got... (Trying desperately to get on XG, XJ, XM, XN an...

RE: Security Requirements At AKL

My point exactly - if you fit additional security onto some gates, you should fit them onto all. I thought AKL was overreacting because taking a look at other major airports worldwide - SYD, HKG, LHR, KUL - none of these make ALL passengers go through security twice on certain flights. I don't objec...

Music On Board Cathay Pacific

Could anyone help me out? I'm looking for the names and composers of the pieces of music played on board Cathay Pacific (CX) aircraft during boarding and descent.

Security Requirements At AKL

I think AKL has gone completely overboard after Sept 11. Sure, heightened security is marvellous and a good idea, but screening checked baggage for certain flights (SQ, TG, MH, UA and NZ/QF American flights) causes huge queues which also restrict movement for other passengers. Putting additional sec...

I had some friends fly out on CX 108 today (20 March). Could you help me out with the registration - I couldn't make it to the airport, and I'm curious!

The Middle Wheel

Airbus A340s have wheel configuration as 2/1/2. The middle wheel is not there in this shot. For those who say the titles are missing, I think they're just obscured by the left wing.

RE: CX And Air China A340s

The next time I travel on an Air China A340 will be too soon for me. I wish CX would update their website in terms of fleet structure - they don't even have seat maps up for the 34C or HUF/HOV with the new business class... or for the 333 either...

The topic says it all. I hear SUJ has bed seats. What airline is SUJ leased from? I sent an email to Air NZ, they promised to reply within one working day. That was a month ago.

Cathay Pacific... now you are really flying.

If anyone out there in cyberland is going to visit AKL during the midhours of the day, and you happen to notice the registration of the CX plane there, could you please post it under this heading, that would be bril. Thanks everyone.

HXA, HXB have been retrofitted with the new suite seats. HXL came new with the first class suite seats already installed. HXM, HXN, HXO are also fitted with the new flat bed business class seat. A330-wise, HLP, HLQ, HLR, HLS, HLT have both the new first and business class cabins installed, brand new...

Cathay Pacific New Business Class

This is for all those "in the know". Could anyone who has travelled on the new Cathay Pacific business class seats, or have inside knowledge, please tell me which aircraft (as in registration) the seats are fitted on? Also, I understand that CX aims to have a third of its long haul fleet equipped by...

RE: Emirates: Airlines Of The Year 2002 By Skytrax

I have heard that Emirates' premium seating is as bad as Air NZ's, if not worse, and it crams an extra seat widthwise into Economy. In this type of situation, I cannot help but wonder how it managed to get best airline 2 years in a row.

Herpa New Generation

Who thinks the NG models suck to high heaven? Not only do the wheels not roll, I reckon the body (excepting winglets) look even more stupid and less real than the older, more clasically refined models. Herpa have just lost my business.

Enjoyed your trip report. I travelled B-HUI SYD/HKG as CX110 last year, although we departed from Gate 34. But I also arrived into 1. Excellent service. By the way, for those that are interested, Gates 1 - 4 at HKG airport are designated "Cathay Pacific Preferred Gates", which are for the exclusive ...

Unfortunately, Sim 98 loses its appeal when you've flown a real simulator.
