Good news for KIX. They certainly have the space for it.

Why is this? They can build up the hubs with more connections all they want, but do they not realize the margins would be better if they added more mainline? DL is operating 100 seaters successfully, why can't UA? Don't forget that Kirby is very familiar with the economics of the E190 at US Airways...

While they're still apples and oranges in a lot of respects, I think there are still some useful comparisons to be made with SEA. I think it's pretty clear that it depends based on the individual airline. Some LCCs will be fine and others will struggle. Some legacies will be fine and others will struggle.
