Anyways, were there any other reasons World shut down? I sure miss them. I had a memory of my first flight when I was barely one, a Southwest flight to San Fransisco. I saw this sleek and elegant Trijet on the taxiway, with others of the same type on the apron near the cargo area. The first questio...Jump to post
What is it like driving a prison bus on icy roads, including in sleet and freezing rain? I am wondering this as there are some unique challenges carrying prisoners in those potentially dangerous conditions. That's hella specific, but allow me to answer. It's easier than driving a bus full of kids b...Jump to post
The same thing happened in Daytona Beach. https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2020/05/24/video-large-crowds-take-over-daytona-beach-shut-down-roads-bridges/ With the weather breaking this will just become widespread. People can't stay in their houses forever. No matter how much you try to scare...Jump to post

It will take a lot more than a big wheel to get the tourists flocking to the amazing sights of Milton Keynes.Jump to post
I loved the PMDG MD-11! I'll be watching this thread, I'd like to get it running in FSX:SE too. There is an MD-11 for FSX by Sky Simulations. Looks good, but its pricey and I've read a few reviews that leads me to believe it's nor as good as promised. https://www.justflight.com/product/sky-simulatio...Jump to post

2020... *sigh*... it's certainly one for the history books, even though we're not even halfway through. BBC are reporting that wildfires now threaten the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, with some fires now reaching Pripyat. I wonder what the risks would be if the fires did reach the plant, and if the...Jump to post
Hi guys What happens these days is a nightmare everywhere in the world. Do you think there is a chance to have some holidays in August ? This will cool over April, level out in May and things will be back to normal by June. I hope you're right, I really do. But here in the UK at least, I don't thin...Jump to post

Could some passenger jets still fly without passengers, at reduced frequency? It's my understanding that belly freight is very lucrative, and some models such as the 777 can carry a huge amount. So, for example, BA could consolidate the freight from a couple of their JFK flights into one aircraft wi...Jump to post
If one isn’t sick, they shouldn’t be treated like a prisoner. There is NOTHING to do in my house, aside from sleep. And please explain how I’d be spreading pandemic if I’m not sick. 135,000 people WORLDWIDE get an illness. Of those 135,000, there are roughly 5,000 deaths. There are EIGHT BILLION pe...Jump to post
I've just had to pay £121 just to renew my GPhC registration, in return the Her Majesty's government will kindly let me go to work for another 12 months. :sarcastic: Last fun thing I bought? That slapped down hard, and with no gear too. I hope that pilot's seat was well cushioned!Jump to post
I believe humans really landed on the moon with Apollo 11. I believe 9/11 happened as stated, no inside job. I believe the Titanic really sank, it wasn't switched for the Olympic in an insurance cover up. I believe a fuel tank explosion caused TWA800. In fact, I don't think there are any conspiracy ...Jump to post
I'll admit I wasn't too familiar with her until I saw the movie, which coincidentally was on very recently here in the UK. I'm sure the movie was given a few little Hollywood tweaks, but her and her colleagues certainly did a fine job and I'm glad she did eventually get the recognition she deserved.Jump to post
Those grand interiors can be removed and installed elsewhere. No need to save the whole ship.
Case in point: the dining room fittings from RMS Olympic were removed from the ship and are still used as a dining room to this day.
Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? Nobody is forcing anything upon this guy - there are plenty of options for buying more space and ways to get a better seat on virtually every flight. Do you realise how ridiculous you sound? I am 6'5" and heavily built, and I can't afford to fly bette...Jump to post

Was it running on retread tires? Could this have contributed to the fire?
I think the bus should be permanently parked where it caught on fire and turned into a museum and shrine. An observation deck should be built on the roof so that the multitudes of tourists can observe the surrounding bayou. With a plaque explaining the historical significance. Would not want to be that heavy with an engine out and steep terrain all around. Looks like they departed towards the ocean, plenty of space to circle out there. One thing I love about the entire UK motorway network, which the M1 / M6 kicked off, is the design standards. I've driven all over the world, but the UK's motorways and trunk routes have the best standards when it comes to on/off slips, grades, corners etc... It makes driving much safer, if not com...Jump to post
