Re: Westjet Near Water Impact in Sint Maarten

https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=0uPTdKwWo78 Anybody notice that huge honking truck that was about to cross the road at the end of the runway? It seems large enough to actually cause some concern for some of the relatively low landings you see on video. Are vehicles of this type r...

Re: UofM Basketball team plane off runway @YIP

With respect to weather, would a Major M80 operator have attempted this action? Why or why not? The winds in the middle USA have been hairy. No airline pilot would ever reject a take-off beyond V1 for any reason, but because of wind sounds odd to me? YIP runways are not among the longest. Would be ...

Re: United Airlines UA199 strange maneuver during approach to LAX

Interesting and never seen in real life. Preceeding Allegiant A319 (G4 319) apparently came too close and UA 199 was eating up the distance. a look into ATC conversation resolves the mystery: ATC: "UA 199 you are overtaking traffic ahead you give me a shallow turn to the north please." Aft...
