737-300 : Fuel Consumption !

Bill- I am a fueler at LIT in Arkansas. Southwest flies their 737s about 7 times a day from Dallas Love Field to here and I can tell you that a typical flight(clear skies, regular pax load, etc) from DAL to LIT takes about 55 minutes and their 737-300s burn about 4800-5200 pounds of fuel. We like to ...

Just for future reference Luftaom, 747 #11 (Pan Am N736PA) and #157 (KLM PH-BUF) were the two aircraft involved in the March 27, 1977 collision in Tenerife. Incase you wanted to know. :-)

RE: Need Help With A Registration #

Dazed767, I think you might mean an L-1011-1 that was built on May 17, 1977. This Lockheed was sold to Eastern as "N336EA" and then eventually was bought by Delta on Sept. 18, 1991 as "N790DL". The Serial No. is 1143. I could not find a listing for "N740DL". Like DC-10 said, there is a "N740DA" but ...

Southwest

Just as Dash8tech said, Southwest has about 3 full rows that face backwards (fwd bulkhead, aft bulkhead, and exit row seating) on ALL of their -200, -300, and -500 series 737s. All of their -700s have forward facing rows only. As far as safety is concerned, I am not sure. But the "fun factor" ranks ...

RE: Which Airline Has The Best Record?

HEY! How about a little airline here in America known as Southwest? (Flying since 1972, with no major accidents.) I know it's not as large as some of the major carriers, but just look at how many flights they have each year. Pretty impressive, eh?I just wanted to add my two cents. :-)

Private & Business Aircraft

Even though this web site has a tremendous amount of private and business aircraft photos within it,I was wanting to know if anybody knows of other websites that are excellent for viewing photos of these types of jets? (Such as a "businessairplane.net" or something like that.) Just curious.....thanks.

(24291 almost had it right) To clear this issue up, in 1992, the Triple Crown award was started and given to any airline that could be rated #1 inALL 3 of the following categories: 1.On-Time performance, 2.Baggage Handling, and 3. Customer Complaints (fewest of course....duh!). When WN wonit for the...

Hello to everyone. My name is Jason and if anyone of you have ever read my user info, you will notice I work at Little Rock National. The station manager for Con. Exp. was a great person. I am in total aggreement with you CV990. Everytime I fly, I always keep a log of which plane I flew in. I only wish there was a way I could find out the registrations of the planes I flew on when I returned from Germany in 1973! It was a long time after that when I flew again(not until June 1990). ...

I've heard a lot about how ugly Southwest's colors are and I would really like to know how,if you had the opportunity, would change their livery. This would include color, design, logo, or anything. Don't get me wromg, I think their colors are terrible too. What really sucks is even when they have ...

I always thought Frontier had some unique tail designs with the animals. I also liked SOME of Western Pacific's fleet (i.e. Stardust Casino, the Colorado themed ones with the skiing and train, and the ones with the cowgirls on the tails). It's too bad they went under. Even though they only have 2 pl...

I read the question "what's your favorite airplane" and I was wanting to know what everyone thinks is THE ugliest or worst airplane design out there. To me, and I don't want to offend anyone, the Jetstream 31 just looks like it was built out of spare aircraft parts! What's your opinion?

One other mistake I noticed was when they were starting to refuel it, they put an "over-wing" fuel hose up to the "single-point" or "underwing" refueling connection. For those of you not familiar with what that means, most of the jets built today have a single-point refueling connection that is desi...
