Airbus is only selling planes because it is giving them away for free.
The A350 has no range.
The A321 is only trying to catch up to the 739 and 7310.

It is sad that the same myths re 757 are repeated again and again.
Fact is, the 321 LR already matches the range of the 757 and the 321 XLR flies even farther while being 25 - 30 percent more efficient.

I'm sure this has been asked before. With Boeing: It's pretty much out there: They're planning on (possibly)? embarking on their first clean-sheet aircraft with the NMA 797. Of course, with the MAX issues and the A321XLR muddying the business case, to invest ~$20 billion into a new program that'll ...

Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it. The real question is if this would have produced a viable product, and the answer is no. The 757 fell out of favor because it was a strongly built thus heavy airframe that had been stretched as far as it could be stretched. Better engines would ...

It is stated in the article that this order presumably is for replacement of A319 and CRJ. Without illegal price dumping the 220/320 combo is hard to beat considering that the Group has over 400 of them.

Lufthansa Group has 78 x A321, 18 x A320NEO, 211 x A320 and 116 x A319. They currently have about 100 NEO orders already. Airbus will just offer the A32X/A220 combo and that´s it. LH ordering 737 will only happen in Boeing La-La-Land.
