Graduated from Teterboro(more like Teterghetto) School of Aeronautics in March 2002. 2 weeks out of school I landed a job with a charter company that is based in Islip, LI(ISP), however I am working at a Central NJ hangar. Also, have been working for Continental @ EWR for the past 4 yrs as a ramp ag...

Last night when I was at work I saw a United States Air Force 707('Air Force One' paint scheme) parked in the ballpark area near the tower at Newark Int'l Airport. I just assumed it was Secretary of State Colin Powell's jet as he just finished up his Middle East tour. However, when I went to work th...

RE: What!? Air China Mechanic Dash Into The 767 Engine

There is this guy that I know working on the ramp in EWR. He says(jokingly I hope) that if things get so bad in his life that he wants to end it all, he was going to jump into the running engine of a jet during pushback. I always thought that would be one hell os a way to go.I never actually thought...

RE: CO 737-900 In PDX... I Have A Qsn About This Bird

ok, here is the official info on CO and the "magic carpets" All of the 757-300s have them in bin 2 and 3. None of the 737-800s have them and are not scheduled to have them installed either. The 737-700s are basically the size of the -300's so they are short and really don't need them anyways. Now, a...

Greg, the 777 and 767 do no have the same nose. The 767 has a more rounded nose whereas the 777's nose comes to a sharper point. Now as to why I think its a 764...look at the angle the plane is at. If it was a 777 it would look much shorter at angle. So, the 764, being its so long, appears to have t...

The one in the background is the "new" one. It's probably a 737 NG. The plane in the foregroud is ac # 332 which is a 737-300, so that means its a really old paint job. When I go to work I'm gonna take a look at all the 737s and compare the classics to the NGs to see if they all look like that. On s...

I don't see it being for Ice protection. The only ice protection systems that are black like that are the De-Icing boots that have inflatable bladders in them.
