What are they doing with their 737Max's? Are they parked at Ataturk? The entire MAX fleet was already ferried to the new airport after the grounding. I read that the move was to be completed 3 hours ahead of schedule. I think the grounding of the MAXs may have factored into this. Less a/c to move.

Had my last flight from the Ataturk Airport on the 1st of April to AMM. It was sad to see the place like that. Darker than usual, shops had already started closing down.

Narrow body J seats are mechanically driven relative simple seats. Used on 787 or other wide body seats are much much more complex. It was not fair for Turkish capital to be left without any international service by the flag carrier. It is good that this is changing and Ankara is put on the world map again as it deserves to be. Also, from August 2019 onward, TK will fly triple daily to Bangkok and from September 2019 onward, 7-weekly to Phuket.

Central Joburg was super super dangerous regardless of it being in some sort of "list". Even as tourists in Joburg, people are frequently warned not to wear expensive jewelry or flaunt their phones around etc. This is very common in South Africa. One needs to be really careful.

Why has KLM reduced from 3 to 2 and now 1 daily frequency to IST? They operate the 737, mainly the smallest -700 (some days the -800), while TK, PC and KK together serve 10 flights in total of which 4 wide bodies.
